Valentine's Day & The Museum

I hope you had a great Valentine's Day with your family!  We had a low-key, fun day over here.  I worked in the morning and came home to some beautiful red roses and a card from Tate.  The three of us went out for an early dinner, and enjoyed stuffing ourselves full of delicious food.  On the way home from the restaurant we grabbed a few movies and some ice cream, and spent the rest of the night relaxing on the couch.  It was definitely a nice treat to have Tate home on Valentine's day, since he didn't have to travel for work this week.

Jace and I did a little Valentine's craft using a celery stalk as a floral stamp and making homemade cards.  I planned on doing this craft quite a few days earlier and by the time we actually got to the craft most of the celery was rotten and lots of pieces had to be thrown away, meaning the stamp was a little small and random shaped.  Oh well... Jace LOVED stamping and painting with the celery, so we'll definitely do this type of craft again.

Practicing his stamping technique... over and over and over.

So focused ;)

The card we left for Tate.

On Wednesday morning we went downtown to the Children's Museum and had a blast.  It's always one of Jace's favorite places.  Jace loves the golf ball room, the water tables, and the pretend grocery store the best.  The sun came out as the day went on so we enjoyed soaking up some rays outside the museum, before heading to lunch with some friends.
