Playing, Drinking Coffee & The Bee Farm

We had a great week!  On Tuesday Jace wouldn't take a nap after we got home from work/school, so we decided to go have an early dinner.  We had our little Jace and Mommy date night at Qdoba.

"I'm not napping mom, I'm too busy playing magnets!"

Cheese!

He loves Qdoba's kids meals.  I especially love that
they're 99 cents on Tuesdays :)

Jace's very special friend "Hay-hay" dropped off the Mr
Potato Head plush "Hot Potato" game for him after the
thrift store refused to sell it to us the day before because
he'd ripped off the tag prior to check out.  He was so
happy he kept jumping on the couch and throwing it in
the air all night.  :)

Happy and hyper... well past bedtime :)
On Wednesday we built lego castles... and on Thursday we headed to our neighborhood playground to soak up the lovely 80 degree day, with daddy who was home from Vegas.

Legos :)

Jace is a big fan of the our neighborhood playground,
thanks to these dinos.

Racing with daddy

Weeeeeeeeee

Jace's favorite thing to climb... although it was giving
daddy anxiety.  ;)

You see that move??  That's Jace hanging from the slide
pumping up and gaining momentum for the slide down.
It's either that or head first... so I prefer this!

"Push me daddy!"

Trying to pump his legs.

On Friday morning we went walking with friends, and back to the playground.  Then the kids enjoyed playing in our front yard for a bit.  It was a sunny hot and humid morning... which is obvious from this picture.  Jace is so sweaty and squinty it hardly looks like him!

Loving playing on the bench and with the "little sticky balls" in our front yard.
That night, it was rainy so we built lego towers as high as Jace, and then headed out for mexican food and some movies.  The next morning we were super lazy and enjoyed spending the morning in our pjs, drinking coffee and watching TV together.

Building castles and waiting for daddy to be ready
to go to dinner.

Stealing mommys coffee, and thinking it's hilarious.
Saturday afternoon we decided to stop in at Chick-fil-a for lunch and to play in the playland before heading over to the bee farm and petting zoo nearby for some fun and some fresh honey.  Jace loved feeding the animals more than he has in the past, and it was Tate's first time there... so it was really fun.  Our friends Dawn, Chad and Logan met us out there... and the boys had a fun time running around together.

The wooden climbing train was a big hit.

Dinosaur!

He loved feeding the monkeys and lemurs right out of his hand.

"Here little goaty..."

Llamas!

It was pretty much impossible to get the boys to sit still to take a picture...

... although getting a picture of them running away
together was pretty easy.  :)

"Roo!"

Loving his honey straw :)

That night after Jace was in bed Tate and I watched "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (the swedish subtitled version) and it was actually pretty good, not what I was expecting though!  This morning we're having a nice low key morning... we're about to run a couple quick errands and then probably bake some yummy monster cookies.  Hope you're having a great Sunday too!
