Rolly Pollies & The Silly Suitcase

Jace had a great and fun filled week!  On Saturday we were invited to a friend's birthday party at Rolly Pollies.  We had never been there before, but it was a total blast and we will definitely be going back.  Jace loved running around bouncing, jumping, diving, climbing and sliding on all of the equiptment.  I tried to capture a few pictures, but since I was side-tracked with making sure he wasn't going to break his neck I didn't even notice my camera was on the wrong setting and the pictures are pretty blurry.

Climbing into the foam pit.

Yes, his tongue is hanging out of his mouth like an
excited puppy.  ;)

Taking a little break.

After the party we stopped in at the thrift store nearby to browse... again.  I may have an addiction to thrift shopping.  We picked up a few things there earlier this week, so our trip after the party wasn't that exciting, but we managed to find a few new things (including a Curious George and Lightning McQueen light up shirt that Jace picked out and was not going to let go of!) and only spent $5.

Trip to the thrift store earlier this week.  6 shirts, 2 shorts, 1 book = $8

Second thrift store stop of the week.  6 shirts = $5

On Friday Tate, Jace and I went to the mall for happy hour appetizers and a little shopping... and afterwards I met up with some girls for a couple of hours while Jace and Tate had a daddy-son date.  They went to the mall playland, split an orange julius, some chick-fil-a nuggets, a slushie, 2 pretzels with cheese... seriously?!  That was AFTER the nachos and southwestern eggrolls we split at the restaurant.  I think they thought it was the state fair!  But they had a blast, so I was really happy they got to spend some time alone together since Tate's been gone for work so much lately.  Jace also got a special treat while we were shopping.  Since he is obsessed with Mr Potato Head, we bought him the "Silly Suitcase" filled with tons of different parts so he can be more creative when he plays with them.  He was ecstatic!  The next morning I was also pretty ecstatic that we got him that too, since he decided waking up at 5:50 am on a Saturday was fun.  I pulled out the silly suitcase and he played on the floor for two and a half hours while this mama went back to sleep.  ;)

Splitting some happy hour apps with Daddy.

Jace playing with his new Potato Head parts.

"Mommy, take picture of "head-heads"!
