Tate's boss was in town this week so we had dinner with him to discuss more details on our relocation. It's nice to have a little more information and have a date set in place. We're hoping to be settled into our new house by February 1st. The only thing holding us back from picking out a house, is that we still haven't nailed down where we want to live. I think Charleston, SC has always been on the top of both of our lists. I've researched the area alot and already know what neighborhood I want to live in there. The only problem is, we won't be flying out to visit until early December... hopefully the gut feeling when we're there matches how I feel about it from what I've seen and heard through research.
When we're in Charleston we're planning on also visiting either Savannah, GA or Charlotte, NC which are both a car ride away. Both of those locations would be slightly more preferrable for Tate work-wise, because Charlotte has a much larger airport than Charleston, and because Savannah is so close to several of Tate's Florida markets that he could drive to them, instead of flying all the time. We have heard great things about both places, but for some reason they just haven't felt "right" in pictures and research. Hopefully when we visit all three we'll have a clear winner and be able to find a great, affordable place. At this point, so much is still up in the air, it's hard not to stress.
Jace has been walking like crazy all week. He's getting so much better, so quickly, it's amazing. We got out the video camera last night and took a video and of course ran out of battery as soon as he started walking. Oh well. It was pretty cute... all night he was doing laps around the living room and kitchen with his arms sticking straight out like a zombie (he's in the halloween spirit I guess!) The cutest thing for me is that he squeals with laughter the whole time he's walking, because it's something so fun and new to him.
Here is the video we took last night, ignore the random ending, stupid batteries!
