Today we had an Easter Egg Hunt with our moms group. It was a balmy 92 degrees out by the time 2 o'clock rolled around and our egg hunt was about to begin. I had been called in to work last minute that morning so Jace had his first day of "school" and we rushed over to the park afterwards, meaning we were way past naptime and meltdown mode was soon approaching... for both of us. :)
Nap or not, Jace had plenty of energy when it came time to go search for the eggs. I was really surprised how well even the youngest kids did with the egg hunting concept. They all understood what they were supposed to be doing and were really excited about it. I simply told Jace "go find the eggs and throw them in your basket" and he did! He was loving running around the park, carrying his basket full of eggs... and once all the eggs had been found he was even more excited to see there were treasures hiding
inside the eggs. :)
