Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

It's starting to look like Christmas around here!  Last night Jace and I hung our stockings and put up a mini christmas tree.  I am still torn on if we should set up an real sized tree this year considering Jace loves to tip things over, and any ornaments would be potential choking hazards if they fell... I don't know, it feels a little disappointing to not have a big tree.  Well, either way, for now we at least put up Jace's very own mini tree.  It's quite a sad sight (looks like a foot tall version of Charlie Brown's tree) but Jace loves to look at the lights and see his ornaments on there.

Jace wore his reindeer antlers while we set up, and I drank egg nog and lit evergreen candles.  I love Christmas!!  It was fun to pull out the ornaments he got last year that I'd sort of forgotten about.  The tree looks like it's about to tip over just from the 8 ornaments that we put up, ha!  I couldn't resist wrapping a few of the gifts I've picked up for Jace and putting them on the table under the tree.  (I picked up a couple clearance items a while back and set them aside as Christmas gifts, no really exciting presents yet.  But I'm hoping to think of a couple inexpensive things that would be exciting for him to open here.  I won't be going crazy on gifts though, that's for sure.  He's only 12 months old!)  So... is it December 25th yet??

I think we'll figure out a few other ways to make it look festive in here.  I have a couple other things to put up out of Jace's reach, some snow globes and figurines, and I think we'll add icicle lights in our living room window.  Hopefully that will help enhance our pathetic little tree.  :)
