Our favorite craft during the second half of B week was definitely the "B is for Bugs" activity. We read Jace's Bug Encyclopedia and then I set out various sizes of rolled playdoh balls, eye balls, pom poms, feathers, and pipe cleaners and let Jace design his own bugs. He loved it!

Each week we try to focus on the entire alphabet, and not just the letter of the week. We spent some time using our "See and Spell" M&D puzzle boards. Jace loves these. We grabbed out the word templates that started with the letter "b" and Jace built the words.
Another alphabet learning game we have liked is his Leapfrog electronic alphabet toy. It's perfect for occupying him in the backseat.
Other than practicing writing the letter B and adding a few items to our discovery box, we also did "B is for Butterfly" crafts. I forgot to take pictures of the first part of the craft, but we just used three foam butterflies, and decorated them with stickers, glitter and whatever else we had sitting around. We also made butterfly snack packs. First I had Jace color a couple clothes pins, added some pipe cleaner antennas and then put a snack in a ziploc bag (this would have worked better if we had snack sized bags, but we only had standard size...) and pinched the clothes pin through the middle of the snack making a little butterfly. This was a super quick craft, but Jace liked the concept and was eager to bring a butterfly snack on a walk a few minutes later.
