Updates and New Blog

It's been a while since I've updated anything on our blog... the main reason I haven't been updating is because this website is giving me errors whenever I do try to do a quick post.  So unfortunately that means I will have to switch to a new blog hosting website and start a new blog.  I don't want to switch but if I can't do a hassle-free blog update with pictures included then I will never actually get blogs posted and our "family album" will be missing this hugely important time in our lives.  This blog will continue to exist as well, but I will be posting a link to our new blog as a continuation off of this one.  I haven't decided which website I will be using yet, but I will post a link (and several REAL updates, and pictures) when I do.

A Little Update:

Life has been wonderful lately, and I want to remember the little details of what's happening right now, so I am determined to make time to update the new blog regularly.  Lane is already almost two months old and things are changing rapidly.  He's been such a huge blessing to us, and I can't imagine what life was like before he joined our family.  Jace absolutely adores him, which definitely has helped the transition.  When I was pregnant I was so worried that Jace wouldn't adjust well, or that two kids would be a ton of work... but I've been relieved to see it's so much easier than I expected.  Not to say it's been easy, or all sunshine and roses... but it's been good.

Jace had a rough first two weeks with Lane and then suddenly a flip switched and he all of a sudden loved him with this intense brotherly love, and from that point on he's been great with him.  He's been a great helper, and for the most part very gentle and kind to Lane.  Often when Lane starts crying and I'm in the other room I walk in to find Jace giving him his pacifier and saying "It's ok Lane... it's ok... you don't need to cry." while rubbing his head softly.  In those moments I can't believe I ever worried about Jace and how he would behave.  If anything he's been better behaved in general since Lane was born.  Although, that seems to change depending on what stage he's in.  But those "terrible twos" were pretty terrible so it would be nice if some of that was in the past for good!

Tate is back to traveling pretty often with the start of the new calendar year... so that's a bit of a transition after him having a break from weekly travel at the end of 2012.  We miss having him around, but we are doing alright with the adjustment.  The main problem I have when he's gone is getting Jace in bed at night.  When he knows that daddy isn't here he will sometimes fight bedtime for 3-4 hours which is, of course, extremely frustrating and tiring when I know Lane will be waking up to eat during the night.  Sleep is over-rated!

***More updates to come...***
