Christmas in South Carolina

We decided to celebrate Christmas early, as a family of three, before heading back to Minnesota to spend Christmas with our family later this week.  It didn't make sense to drag Jace's presents back to Minnesota, only to turn around and bring them back to South Carolina... so we did "Christmas" on Saturday.  We started by having a big breakfast together and relaxing around the house in our pjs.  Then Jace got to open his stocking and his gifts.  I took video clips of some of it, and then switched over to snapping a couple of pictures.  As the videos show, Jace was totally obsessed with Christmas and all the gifts this year!  Christmas is such a magical time for kids... and for us as parents watching it all again through his eyes.  <3

Playing with Pooh and friends while reading the book.

I was a little reluctant to open gifts early, because I thought it would be a little anti-climactic... but I was wrong.  I'm really glad we had this little Christmas just the three of us, and now get to enjoy Christmas with our extended families as well.  We're really looking forward to all the fun ahead this week!
