Baby #2

We are excited to finally announce that Baby #2 is on the way!  As you may have noticed this blog has been severely neglected lately, that's because I've been spending the last three months curled up in the fetal position.  Thankfully those first three icky months seem to be behind us now. 

We were able to see the baby on an ultrasound at 12 wks 1 day, and it was dancing around like crazy in there.  (aka another hyperactive child! lol)  The doctor said everything looks great and that the baby had a healthy heartbeat of 171 bpm.  We are very relieved that things are going well, and would appreciate prayer that the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly.

As for the details, baby is due 11/11, just two days before Jace's 3rd birthday.  We WILL be finding out the gender this time, after experiencing a "surprise" with Jace... I would really like to experience both ways.  We should know the gender in about 5-6 weeks, right before we head to MN for a visit.

As for Jace, he seems excited about having a baby around... but I don't think he fully understands the concept yet.  I'm worried about how he will feel when it's no longer just him... but I know having a sibling will be the best thing for him.  Hopefully the adjustment won't be too hard... and HOPEFULLY he won't have to share his birthday! ;)

Let's see what else... it's true what they say about showing faster with your second and subsequent pregnancies.  I'm definitely showing already, and it's been very hard to hide the fact that I'm pregnant for the last few weeks.  Even though I kept my first trimester a secret, I did write a little week-by-week journal for my own memory that I will post on this blog soon.  As I mentioned earlier, I've had pretty severe morning (aka all day) sickness, which I didn't have with Jace... and several other things are different too.  This pregnancy is 100% polar opposite of what it was with him.  Crazy how that can be!  I must just be getting old.  ;)
